Ministers Amos Kimunya and Samuel Poghisio today came to the defense of their counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta over allegations that there was impropriety in the acquisition of VW Passat vehicles for ministers and other top government officials. Kimunya and Poghisio waved away claims that parliament had been kept in the dark over the deal saying the proposed purchase of the vehicles was included in the 2009-2010 budget delivered by Uhuru in June and later duly approved by the house.
the contentious issue here is how was the tendering done, how many car companies placed a bid, and if so did we get the best deal possible. If not WHY?

Kimunya and Pogisho are bright men just by listening to them

Kimunya must defend Uhuru since Uhuru defended him when they stole the Grand regency hotel. Kimaunya is a very corrupt person I would not listen to him on matters of corruption

But still Kajwang will keep shouting procurement procurement, in fact if he wants to drive a merc, he should buy one himself and not for we the tax payers to do it. Tumechoka. take the passat or leave it.

Ndio, our government officials have become very gluttonous, thinking that public coffers money is meant for their comfort. If they want luxury vehicles let them foot the bill from their own pockets. They are already paid too much money for nothing anyway and don't even pay taxes.
