Keyboard shortcuts used

Ctrl + J ( Command + J for mac ) creates a new duplicate background layer.

L key for Lasso tool

Ctrl + to zoom in, Ctrl - to zoom out ( Command + to zoom in, Command - to zoom out )

Ctrl + Alt + 0 ( Command + Option + 0 for mac )100 percent image size.

right ] to make brush larger, left [ to make brush smaller.

Spacebar for the Temporary Hand Tool, so you can move the photograph around while zoomed in.
