This is the first run for this burrell and these clips show how easy it is to use.

This engine is an accurate model based on the Burrell Agricultural Engine "Prince" a 7hp single cylinder Tractor, Works No.3728. Delivered new on the 23rd of August 1916 to J.Hardy of Blackmore, Essex, the engine survives in good working condition and is to be seen regularly at steam rallies up and down the country during the summer months. With its open motion, spoked flywheel and lack of cover for the driver this is the traction engine in its most basic form. "Prince" remains largely original, as can be seen from the recent photo on this page. Because of the relatively high initial cost of Agricultural engines, many smaller farmers could not afford to buy their own, useful though they were. It was not uncommon therefore, for farmers to engage the services of a local contracting gang who would, in the summer months, set about the annual tasks of threshing, bailing, sawing etc and come autumn - ploughing the fields, ready for the next seasons crop!

  • 2750 euros i hope!!

  • The tractor is £2675-00 new from maxitrak ready to run, gas/propane fired.

  • you refill the boiler between runs or we can supply a high pressure pump that allows you to pump water in to the boiler under pressure as an optional extra.

  • How much do these cost

  • @0812201 yer i love these ones i used to have a maxitracks loco that ran on coal i loved it best i ever hadthx maxitrac

  • i got a wilesco one for christmas acouple of years ago

  • My dad has several, one is a steam roller and the others are stationary. There're fun to play with but it takes forever to clean them after your done!

  • Yeah, coal is The Best in my opinion Plus it's nice to build and watch the hot, orange fire flourish.

  • i would like one but i mean i cant come up with that kind of money being 15 and all

  • is there a feed pump, injector or mechinical pump on them

  • but believe it or not, more manual, as the flame needs to be increased under load and on grades, while coal burns hotter to the engine's needs, becuse the harder the engine works, the harder it draughts, and the hotter the fire burns.
