A demonstration with Oyumaru a substance worth making a song and dance about!

It is a Japanese compound used for bead and miniature making as well as to create casts from other objects.

Oh, dear, Im' sorry. But my motto in life is "All work and no play makes hotness Tim a sad boy"

  • The song, the stop motion animation at the end, and ofcourse the demo of the Oyumaru......EPIC!! Really awesome video and very entertaining! Love watching all your vids you have a great talent and wonderful personality. great stuff,. Anyway you can send me a link to a site I can get the oyumaru stuff at? that would be great thanks.

  • @TheDizmo I'm in the UK, and I got it from a company called Fred Aldous, but I do believe it is available on Ebay. Thanks for the lovely comment, much appreciated buddy.

  • lol Mythril you seems to be having a bit of fun singing and playing with the Oyumaru sticks, thumbs up for the song alone,, just one question though how long do you have before the stick stop being flexable enough to make a mold,, do you have several mins at room temp to make the casting?

  • @vanhammer73 Hi Van, Just did a little test, after being in the pot of just boiled water for 3.5 min, working with it on a cold glass cutting board, it started to lose sensitivity at 2min 20sec and stopped taking a clear impression at 3min 25 sec. You could maybe extend the working time by working with it on a warmed stone board. It does get sticky when hot so most items require to be left in until cool, but I did find that small shapers could be used to shape a little. Big hugs
