  • Hey , I need information on the name of the demosong when mr Rudess is trying out

    Roland VP-770 (1/3).

  • @ShareTheSphere It's just called Sevengroove, which is actually a name I came up with. Jordan wrote the music for this demo, and it isn't available anywhere else.

  • @rlainhart ouups,misunderstanding...I was referring to another demosong where comments are disabled.

    Roland VP-770 (1/3) : watch?v=zswvv9r5SPI&feature=related

  • @ShareTheSphere Ah, I see - I wasn't familiar with that one. It's something he shot in Japan last year for Roland, and I wasn't involved in that production. It's a cool tune, though!

  • sexytime soundtrack, those women taking off her clothes

  • That's not a vocoder, that's Jordans actual voice

  • Love it!

  • @th3nosferatu I knew of JR before I knew of Dream Theater .

And when I listened to DT was surprised because I thjink his demos shows how unlimited his mind is when it comes to composing.

I was expecting something more of a jazzy thing than DT.

To me DT lacks soul ,heart.

It´s more like a lot of "cool" passages purposeless stacked together.

    Like show offs.

But I really dig JR and I´m interested in what he would sound like doing his own thing.

    Regards

  • @ShareTheSphere

what are you talking about 'horrific' theater. Jordan rudess is an outstanding member of Dream Theater, just with everyone else in the group. I don't understand why you think any of his work with Dream theater isn't high quality like his demos for companies like Roland.

The main reason Jordan Rudess does these videos is that he loves to try out any new type of instrument and learn them, doing shows while he can promoting them if he likes them. Like when he learned the harpejji.

  • Jordan the master !

  • @rlainhart Ok , thank you.

I tell you, this is something I played for 1 hour repeatedly for starters.

The refrain has got some huge qualities and reminds me of the feeling i get when listening to Donald Fagens "the Nightfly".

Tell mr Jordan to quit that horrific theater group and produce high quantities of stuff like this.

    This has soul.

    Regards
