America doesn't "ban" stereotype imagery of yesteryear, it's the studios that choose to dodge releasing controversial material withe their name affixed. Were is illegal Warner wouldn't have issued this DVD through Warner Archive, and you wouldn't be watching it here.
while were at it the jazz singer depicts the jewish rabbi father as horribly cruel to the assimilation of his son into the jazz age. that should be banned fr stereotyping rabbis?

Of course this clip is in 2 strip Technicolor and not 3 strip which took 5 more years to create. Who cares. Its still Jolson.
