In response to the weather that is threatening the 2009 fall harvest, University of Wisconsin-Extension specialists and county agriculture agents hosted a webinar on November 6, 2009 to address pertinent topics. Here are the questions asked by our live audience and the responses from our Extension experts. Use the time index to find the answers you'd like to hear.

0:30: Question 1: Is propane in short suppy?

1:35: Question 2: If you see rotten cob, will this affect winter yield loss?

2:18: Question 3: Is black light an accurate indicator of fungus or mycotoxins that are present?

3:27: Question 4: Will proper mechanical drying reduce or eliminate molds or mycotoxins?

4:39: Question 5: As corn goes through the dryer at 120-160 degrees, will that kill some mold and be a help when it gets into the bunker silo?
