Exp Anm Spring 2011 Final: "Trayts"

Characters, idea, story/poem, animation, and everything are my originals. Written, designed, and animated by me I guess I could just say. I narrated it as well. I'll never get a job doing voiceover work. Oh, the song is, of course, not mine. It is "Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F (BWV 1046) I. Allegro" by Bach. If I got the name or part of incorrect, which is highly likely, forgive me. I am not a musician. What the hell is BWV 1046?

So this is my final for Experimental Animation. We could do anything we wanted in any style that we'd covered this semester. I love the way the paper puppets looked, so I decided to go with that. Originally, the Creature of Habit was planned to be a stop motion puppet, but I ran out of time. That and it just didn't seem to work with the storybook theme that I had going on. So I have a headless puppet in orange overalls on my desk. He'll pop up in something later on.

I gotta admit, I'm kinda sad to see this class end. I had the best time this semester. It felt more like I got to hang out and play for the semester AND I get college credit on top of it! Don't get me wrong. I learned a helluva lot in the past couple of months. I just didn't dread a minute of it. Well, maybe the hand drawn stuff I dreaded a bit. Thanks a million times over to Justin Kohn for everything. I feel like I made the right choice in returning to school now.
