  • it is my dream to own one of these cars in good shape.

  • What an oddly beautiful machine. I'd be nuts to say it's classically beautiful, like a '55 TBird or a '57 Chevy or a Silver Ghost. But it's just a solid, rare, unique automobile. It's amazing that into the late 80's these cars were still manufactured! Imagine a 2011 where AMC was still going strong. What would their answer to the modern retro-ponycar be? A 2011 AMX?

  • Test drove a sedan version off the showroom in '86. The sales Mgr. said it was unbreakable and pointed us to one of those deep double dipped high crowned intersections that almost EVERYTHING would scrape at anything more than 5 mph. We approached at 40 and he said "Don't slow down!". I said "But?" he said "Trust me!" So I just maintained speed and prepared for the jump of a lifetime! The suspension was so compliant the car remained nearly level and NEVER left the ground! THAT was impressive!

  • i remember going mudding with my grandmother in one of these with a '98 grand cherokee that got stuck and grandmas' eagle pulled it out haha good times

  • That's the most brown i've ever seen in one car

  • @soberdrunk78 These are actually the most common AMC's I see around, but its relative. These cars are a dying breed. I would love to find one and swap in a Cherokee drive-line.

  • its a JEM

  • Nice eagle. I am hoping to be getting one soon. A 1987, I plan on selling my 1997 camero once I get it.

  • The very first SUV that started the car/SUV fusion that we see today. Way ahead of it's time

  • I hate you dude! I want that care! Man it's a nice one. Wax it and treat the leather!
