A not very known "Juditha Triumphans" CD with Mingardo and Invernizzi under Diego Fasolis, Coro della Radio Svizzera, I Barocchisti, Guillemette Laurens (Holofernes), Roberta Invernizzi (Vagaus), Sara Mingardo (Juditha, not Holofernes as above), Manuela Custer (Abra), Tiziana Pizzi (Ozias)

It's amazing to see a singer break away from the pack when she takes big risks. Invernizzi is such a singer. She does these arias like no one else.

You are so correct, and what else would you expect from the voice chosen to represent with Europa Galante? I am no expert in music- but this seems to me to be a true break from the olde guarde- crisp, active excited playing and performance.

Whether or not this was ever performed this way by the zeitgeist of the day, EG and Biondi have inarguably breathed new life into Italian Baroque. Magnificent.
