We're looking forward to CES this year! Roaming the exhibition halls is like a Fantastic Voyage through the irritable bowels of the home electronics biz. One never knows what freaky thing one might see in the next booth. Take this bizarre display from last year, for example: Grown men subjecting themselves to mild-but paralyzing electrocutions in exchange for TASER hats. How much do you want to bet neither of these guys would buy those same hats if they saw them on sale for three dollars?

Oh, and this whole perverse electro-S&M show was ringmastered by TV's John Bunnell. Only at CES!

  • I'm pretty sure the King of Queens picks his nose before shaking Sheriff Bunnell's hand.

  • @TheMendAudio.

If you consider it to be as dangerous, then you have arguement. But then you ought not be using it in any situation where you would not also use those other weapons. This does not seem not be the prevailing attitude amongst taser users.

Knowing my own state of health, i would be willing to tase myself on a leg. I would not do it to someone of unknown health unless it was absolutely necessary, as it can be lethal. (And if they are attempting to harm me, fuck 'em).

  • i want a free hat... wait.. no i dont!

  • @ueberRegenbogen So if you own a gun for your own protection, you should probably shoot yourself before ever attempting to defend yourself with it. And you should cut yourself with with any knife just so you know what you might be doing to someone else. You know, hypothetically.

  • I would consider it, out of curiosity—especially if i were to actually have one; it seems reasonable to have a first-hand idea of what it's like, before doing it to someone else. (It sure as fuck wouldn't be for some stinkin' hat!)
