Stereosonics live at the jedi festival 2009 recorded by myself a brilliant tribute band. The Jedi Festival was born as a direct result of the tragic death of Chris Haw who died suddenly aged just 25 years old from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome on Saturday 3rd June 2006.

Chris HawChris was a student at Edge Hill University College completing his Business Management degree.
He also earned some extra pocket money working at Man to Man menswear on Lord street at the weekends.

Chris was a keen music fan and attended many big music gigs such as the V festivals .......

He was also a big supporter of new, up and coming local bands at that time such as The Arctic Monkeys, Keith, Kings of Leon, Maximo Park, to name but a few.

The Jedifestival was created in Chris memory as Chris was once challenged as to his religious beliefs to which he replied, he was very unsure with religion and that his religion was a Jedi and nothing else!

Chris died from SADS which as stated earlier, is Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
This terrible syndrome claims the lives of 8 healthy young people every week.

The CRY charity (Cardiac Risk in the Young) is dedicated to researching into this unknown phenomenen and to also raise the awareness to young people and parents so that young people can be tested early. The Cry charity founded in May 1995 to raise awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young. Patrons include David Walliams, Ian Botham, and Steve Redgrave to name a few are dedicated to researching into this unknown phenomenen and to also raise the awareness to young people and parents so that young people can be tested early.

The charity offers support to those who have suffered a loss through a support network and counselling. It promotes heart screening, contributes to testing programmes, medical research and donates medical equipment to GPs surgeries and local hospitals.
