The first song off an album is important in capturing the listener's attention. It sets the tone for the rest of the listening experience. When I first heard "Fallin' Down" by the Goo Goo Dolls, I was hooked. What a wall of sound from a rock trio! Memorable lyrics, great melodic hooks, and a screaming solo; all the elements of a great song!
This is part of a tribute series to the influences that have shaped my guitar playing.
