Poling & Paddling [This is Canoeing] Colo River, Australia

This is canoeing: 4-day trip upstream and back along the Colo River, in the Wollemi wilderness, under low-flow conditions, in open/Canadian canoes. Grade 1 (class 1) and Grade 2 (class 2) rapids, and shallow flatwater were encountered.

How gouge / puncture resistant are those canoes? I've never been canoeing before; this looks pretty crazy for such a watercraft!

@TheReapersSon These canoes are three-layer polyethylene. It's very tough, and a bit heavy. Google it for more details. I prefer Royalex: lighter, but not as tough.
