Biking from Banos to Puyo Ecuador

Seth Allan Ames and Nate Skinner bike from Bano to Puyo. This is the most famous bike ride in Ecuador. Atracttions along the way include waterfalls (El Pailon del Diablo or Devils Cauldron, Cascada San Miguel and others), bungee jumping, going through tunnels, and gaining 70 km an hour on the downhills.

How was that bike ride? How long did it take? Im going to be in Banos for 2 days in July and was thinking of the activities to do there. I was thinking between canyoning or the bike trip. Did you do the canyoning too?

The bike ride is awesome. Should be done. It can take anywhere between 5 hours and all day. I did not do canyoning.  Have fun there!

It wont be a problem finding a place in Puyo, but it wont be furnished. It would be easier to rent a room in Banos though. Puyo is relitively safe so drawing attention to yourself should not be an issue you need to worry about. But living in Puyo might be boring, unless you specifically know why you are going there.

2 years Ago I was there. Never got a chance to bike ride, but definetly the best damn trip I ever had. I look foward to going there again in the spring of 2011. Awesome video.

I did part of this bike path. It was ridiculously tiring because the elevation. My favorite part was riding under the small waterfalls. I also did that awesome cable car!!!
