  • I would like to introduce you and your doctor(s) to Dr. Kornelia Kulig, PT, PhD and Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy, Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at University of Southern California.

Your doctor should ask Dr. Kulig about Kathryn Evans' portable, PTT exercise device (Arch Angel) that treats, if not reverses, Stage I and II PTTD to see if it is the right treatment for you.

  • I have been suffering with PT tendonitis for 2 yrs now and my Dr has suggested surgery because all other treatments have failed :( My foot is always in pain.

  • mine too

  • @toniar39090 Please refer to my comment about Dr. Kulig and Kathryn Evans' device. I wish you to find a non-surgical solution for your PTTD.

  • Reading these comments from many people who have had surgery will freak a lot of people out. I have this as a result of chronic running with flat feet and just being ignorant on running shoes and taking my feet for granted. I've been in PT for 2 weeks and I've had a drastic improvement. My therapist thinks I'll be running again in a month. In most cases this heals with rest, PT and/or foot/calf strengthening exercises.

  • @mzchristal after 2 years i had to have surgery for my pttd, i also had an accessory navicular bone that had to be removed and the surgery was no cake walk i was non weight bearing for 14 weeks i mean NO putting my foot down at all. I just had the subtalar implant they put in removed and my pain is subsiding but im still not 100%

  • is posterior tibial tendon disfucnction the same thing as posterior tibial tendonitis?

  • not sure what stage im at right now but it hurts ALOT

  • There are non-surgical alternatives. At what stage is your PTTD?
