A family of warthogs is grazing at Pete's Pond in Botswana. Their path homeward is blocked by Fatty, the juvenile Nile crocodile. Senior members of the family consider challenging Fatty, and think better of it. (Long segment of grazing has been cut out between challenges.) All adults finally leave, giving Fatty a wide berth. The hoglet is left behind, and in its haste to catch up almost stumbles on Fatty's tail. Fatty HAS been known to try to catch warthogs from water ambush. While s/he couldn't handle an adult yet, a hoglet would be a nice meal!

It's common. Warthogs also eat carcass.
