I first heard about using rice water to wash your face from my grandmother, who swore that this is the key to softer and younger-looking skin.
Indeed, rice is a great source of antioxidants and vitamin E, which helps right free radicals to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, heal scars and tame inflammations/redness. It also gives your skin this beautiful, healthy glow.

I've been using this trick for more than 3 years now, and my skin is noticeably softer and smoother than it was before. I have fewer breakouts, blackheads and everyone to whom I've recommended this trick absolutely LOVED it!

  • when you say you wash your face with it + your regular facial cleanser, do you mean that instead of using tap water to rinse off your cleanser you use the rice water, or that you mix your cleanser and rice water? i didn't really get it sorry-

  • @crinier2lama Oops sorry I didn't make myself clear. Yes, I meant rinsing your face with it instead of using tap water =)

  • My grandma told me this too but I was skeptical despite all the yt videos I've seen about rice water. I'm gonna give it a try now and see what happens ^_^

  • @urbanangel70 Let me know if it works for you =)

  • How long would it take for the skin to become whiter after using the rice water

  • @doadelle Thanks for your support! Unfortunately rice flour wouldn't have the same effect because as soon as you add water to it, the flour would absorb most of the water, turning it into a thick paste. But if you are looking for an anti-acne and softening skin facewash/toner, you could try my Perrier toner in my other video.

Sorry I haven't had time to do more DIY skin care lately, but I have a short break coming up, so I will be doing another anti-aging skin cleansing routine. Stay tuned!

  • I really love your DIY and I'm already doing this for a week!

But it came to my mind when I school start again where I have to live in hostel where I don't have fridge to keep it. I don't cook too so I won't be buying rice. So do you think I can just use the rice flour?

  • @CEMBEAUTY thanks for watching!
