So you rather have insurance companies control people's lives ? At least here in Canada doctors do not need to consult with insurance companies or government, when they see patients. Unlike in America where doctors often must get permission from insurance companies before they treat their patients. Nor do we not have socialized medicine we have two-tier health care, something America can take and improve on.
