  • i/ll have to find the bucks to buy both again, but version 1 seemed to me great & version 2 seemed mud. i never heard version 2 of we/re only in it,once again, i wanna check out ruben - my 2nd fave album (oh hell, i was born in '56 - i remember the 60/s tunes...). can you hear differences between the two ?

  • @rwmartin3456 instruments , electric sounds , bass and new performances. Both albums sounds very different and ppl dont like new remixes. however i love 2 versions, maybe cuz im young for the time of this music

  • just to say like - when i bought the remixed version (not knowing it had bed, well, shall we say, mismixed), i was horrified (why, frank, why ?). thanks.

  • @rwmartin3456 i love the 2 versions , same to we're only in it for the money

  • the original vinyl version is now highly sought after and sells for big bucks on line . The re recorded Cd sucks.

  • so why does he look like a carton of anubis? or better yet azreal

  • can't imagine Budy Holly singing this.

  • nostalgie!

  • As a DooWop fan, I love the music but I have to say that Zappa's writing new (for 1968) DooWop songs and then giving them the kind of smutty lyrics which would have been banned a few years earlier, was a sophomoric and cynical attempt at humor. It doesn't impress me that Zappa was anywhere as brilliant as the late 60's brainwashers made him out to be...............But as DooWop, this is good.

  • For a guy who derided the shit out've The Beach Boys this track sounds very like Girl From New York City. I still love it though, Zappas most underrated album.

  • The re recorded version sounds so bad

  • This song is the best.
