Maybe Heidfeld's not the best driver, but one of the best overtaker (hope it's right in english), especially against Alonso.

@bullet50000 EVERY F1 car has 2 tanks. From the main tank the fuel gets pumped into the(smaller and taller)catch tank which secures the fuel supply under g-forces.Sadly this tank in the BAR07 was built such that they couldn’t drain it entirely,3 litres always remained inside. The team’s fallacy was that if they couldn’t use that amount of fuel, they could count it as part of the car’s ballast and reduce the ballast by 2kg. This violates the rule that every ballast has to be bolted into the car.

I don't quite understand Lotus Renault's decision this year to drop Heidfeld. He is a good, consistent driver, and was clearly doing better than Petrov. Though unlikely, I hope he gets a seat again in F1.

There was a thing about the Stewards finding an extra fuel tank inside the normal fuel tank, so the car could pass weight inspection at Imola that year. they were banned for 3 races, and Monaco happened to be one
