New dive off the coast of Pensacola. Went there on Sunday early after it was shown of the news, about how it would help with economic growth around the Pensacola area. Kind of hard to find if we didn't get some good direction form Steve at USA scuba. There is a hot orange pipe coming out of the sand on the beach which you can see on the video. This where you start to make your way into the gulf. About 100m out into the water there is a buoy which leads down to the fish attractors. During high tide there about 18ft down. By the way you want to go during slack tide 45 min after high tide so that you don't have to mess with the current. Plus vis will be a bit better at that time as well. This would be an excellent shore dive for a beginner also saw some Snorkelers out there too.

  • This location is near Pensacola Beach about 35 or so miles away from Destin. If you want to do a shore dive in Destin you can do the Destin Jetty aka the east pass. If you look on my profile there is a video of the east pass as well. I would have to say that this dive site is a bit better. There is also Ft. pickens which is pass Pensacola beach about 20 mins it might be a good dive in November. The vis there is hit or miss.

  • We swim around Portafino

  • Where is this location in Destin? I will be taking a 7 day trip to Destin in November. Is it close to Henderson State Park or the Destin Jetties?
