2009 Alaskan Air show, Light Touring STOL competition at Valdez Alaska

This is the Light Touring class competition. At the 2009 "May Day" Valdez air show with scores as were posted on http://www.valdezalaska.org/events/flyIn/flyIn.html (as of 05/23/09) Each person had 2 landings and takeoffs, The best landing and takeoff distances were added together and that was their final score. The weather temperature was in the mid range. And there was not very much wind, at this point in the day. Check my main page for the other airplane class competitions at the 2009 air show.

I'm hoping to make it up there in the next couple of years for this. Pulled a 290' takeoff this morning in a stock (no STOL mods or upgraded engine) C172 with two people and three hours of fuel. Valdez BEWARE! ;-)
