  • I was gone tell you that in your last video when you made that comment and said it's something in our water but I said I was going to write about it later. I was gone say someting about the chemicals in our water and I was going to say something about also oiling your hair too often because if you do it can cause your hair from producing it's own oil. So it can cause it to be more dry.

  • @ExposinDaTruth That over oiling thing is true! With my first try at starting my locs I used a shea butter/olive oil mix (TONS of it) on soaking wet hair. Right after my hair felt amazing, but a week later my hair felt so dry and brittle. I ended up combing my hair out two weeks in. I like the oil routine that I have going on now. I do it only after I wash, and rather than oil each loc, I rub some together in my hand and cover a large section. My hair feels great now :)

  • I have hard water too.. I will look into finally getting a filter. I get dry scalp, esp when I use a sea salt/water loc accelarator with my last set of locs. sea salt also drys out my skin, so let us know how the honey and sea salt scrub work for you- the honey probably balances it out with moisture. x

  • @ssikmoi88 I have really oily skin to begin with, but I also try to follow up with a moisturizer when I do the sea salt scrub. The honey is good for moisture though, a lot of people use it in homemade hair conditioners.

  • Its true, I spent 5 weeks in Brazil and my hair was amazing. i have really coarse hair hard to manage but its like the heat and the water done my hair wonders. It appeared to grow more that in a regular month here and it just felt wonderful. i think i might just have to purchase that filter! Thankx ;D

  • @babe9605 If I could afford to just get on a plane and stay in a place like Brazil for good, I would. Until then, this water filter will be the closest thing to it, Lol. Thanks for watching :)

  • @swimfe Yeah I agree! That's how I been doing it! Just put alittle in my hand and cover most of my hair with it. So far so good! I'm learning! :)

  • Please excuse typos smh! :))

  • So oiling too often and our water is like a bad combo but I did say I am going to oil my hair but not as much. So if it does become dry I would have an idea why. So I totally understand and agree. Great video! :)

  • @swimfe thanks for your response hun. I also have oily skin. I will have to try it for myself. x

  • @swimfe I definitely understand what you're saying. Even here we literally live off of bottled water, as environmentally unfriendly as it is =( But, the water isn't safe to drink or cook with. Like you said, getting a filter may be the better option.
