  • This song wasn't recorded for Priscilla...it was recorded for Joyce Bova.

  • You're right. I just read that in Grualnick's Careless Love. Joyce was the girl who worked at the House Armed Services Committee he met in1969. He saw her again the same night he met Barbara Leigh in Aug.1970, but they had a fight, They finally slept together when he went on the Washington trip to get the badge from Nixon. A little know fact about that trip!

  • @screamfilms james henry miller .. thats his real name

  • @screamfilms

I wouldn't say Elvis was created by the media.

He spent months, if not years touring tiny halls and venues in hick towns with just his own voice and guitar, Bill Black's bass and Scotty Moore's guitar as backing before he was anywhere near a TV studio.

  • @margondine @simpson2221 Not quite, it was written by scottish singer-songwriter Ewan MacColl, who was a person of major artistic integrity than Mr. Presley (created by the media, fed by the media, made an idol by the media, nevertheless a good singer)

  • Elvis is only singing this song in the original version. Ewan MacColl a British traditional singer/song writer wrote this song for Peggy Seeger who later became his wife. Roberta Flack's version is the one everyone else tries to sing ;-) Elvis finalizes this version with his own Elvis touch.

  • no offense and i love elvis been to memphois twice but this song blows. JEELPRAS, JEEPLERS. jeepers. its' a crap song like my commentary, OMG jsut horrible.

  • @screamfilms

It's a Roberta Flack song, ignoramus.

  • @dawgnme Old boring cliche, the one about bars, surprising that a know it all bore like your good self would use it.

  • @screamfilms OMG Elvis is a twat, sorry but ur life is miserable if u think that of him

  • I've just listened to Johnny Cash's version.

  • I couldn't imagine any other song by MacColl being sung by this twat (yes, he had a beatiful voice, but still was a twat).
