I dont know why I bother reading comments on anything on the internet anymore. If you can't say something constructive or at least useful then what makes your opinion any more correct or valid than the person you are criticizing? We all should strive to keep our egos in check.

@stfuyouchav While I'd agree that this is profoundly unoriginal and banal, I don't agree on the nonsense-part. I suppose if one's struggling to be at home with psychoanalysis in general or Lacan in particular, you would be right. I mostly like his film analysis, and the only thing lacking there is, to me, a deleuzeian perspective.

Where Zizek doesn't spout nonsense he spouts truism, this video being an example of the latter. I find it annoying how this fat and irrelevant publicity hound sucks up the limelight at the cost of his more worthwhile contemporaries, i.e. Habermas.
