looked it up on wikipedia... if the down left corner of the ring is red it indicates there is a hardware problem... u should really get that fixed...

Here is a permanant fix to 1-3 red rings of death:
1. throw the xbox out the window.
2. smash the xbox with a sledge hammer.
3. throw it in the bin.
4.buy an xbox 360 slim.
