The Celebration of Asian Pacific American Womyn (CAPAW) is an event designed to provide a unique space committed to reaching out to the greater community and connecting personal stories among APA womyn as a way to educate and celebrate each other.
This year's theme is I LOVE YOU. Through the theme "I Love You," we will focus on various forms of love: what "i love you" means in the APA community, what "self love" means to APA womyn, how love is expressed and shared by APA womyn (such as between mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and lovers), and how we appreciate and celebrate our love for APA womyn and ourselves.
Through the words of our speakers and the motions and emotions that flow from our speakers, we present a night that attempts to reclaim and redefine love.
