I've connected a Korg Rhythm 55 with a Korg MS-20 by using the patching system.. (i used the trigger out and signal out from the drumcomputer)

  • i bet the drum sound is coming from the machine to the right that looks like a dot matrix printer :P call me on it if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you can run other instruments through the korg

  • Hey, you make my drum computer sad! Its much prettier that those dot matrix printers!

And yes, you can run everything through this thing.

  • Hi

I'm curious; Is it possible to do the same with a MS10?

  • Nope, it doesn't have an ESP (external signal processor).

  • Ah i didn't think you were using the ESP since it sounded so "clean" you know. Because in your other video it sounds typically more like the ESP.

  • second thought, i was kinda quick with that reply..

i DID use the ESP, but only for triggering the VCO's , and for putting the 'clean' drum computer sound through the MS-20.. if your drumcomputer has an trig-out, you can connect it to your MS-10. and the clean sound through the ext signal.

But, the options with triggering, are still much less.

    :)

  • hehe love it how the temp just drops towards the end!!

  • i got the vst .. must say it's fuckin monster :)

  • i was saying that people oftenly confuse synths with normal keyboards (or even organs) just because in the 60s moog decided to launch a synth with a keyboard controller... and synths dont necesarrily have nothing to do with keyboards... i personally do a lot of synth-based music and i just use keyboard for solos or leads, the rest is with sequencers, or selfcontrolling modules or ribbon controllers...

  • @mynmyself

Dude your comment doesn't make sense on so many levels, please justify it.

  • Totally, the gating effect starting at 0:52 is very cool. What sort of modulation are you tweaking to achieve that? It has a unique rhythmic sound.

  • seperate from playing keys? of course it is... theres nothing in common between programming a modular synth and playing a piano... is like playing drumms and clarinet...

  • im aware that synthasis is a completely seperate thing.

  • synths and key-based instruments dont have anything to do one with another... some synths include a keyboard controller,... adding keyboard as a synth controller was probably the worst step in order to try to turn synths into serious instruments...

  • sick music
