One of Tommy's best ever soliloquys.

Edited from the podcast of 10th March 2009. Which is where I am on the podcast catch up right now. It's an open secret that "Connor" is actually none other than the Atlanta correspondent of "Downfall" fame doing a persona. Tommy gets very passionate and ranty, and although he has no callers in this show he lets himself go with the flow and we get some classic Boyd as a result.

Like Tommy I would never advocate anarchy. He is right. Most folks in the UK look a the paper from the back page onwards, if they look at it at all. Medoicricity seems to be what people is what people aim for first. I walk away from gildsfish people and I wish I could shout, but few folks would want to listen and maybe I would be in trouble.I care but what does it really do? I don't want a gun. I want to be able to say what I want to say. I crave to be heard and understood.

I wanted to understand and be understood, and that got me started learning languages. Now I know twenty and I still can't get much through from my head to other people's, and probably vice versa.

It reminds me of a joke about the Polish policemen who stop a speeding tourist. They could only speak Polish so they ask him in Polish how fast he thought he was going. He answers "Do you speak English?" they shrug. He says "Sprechen Sie Deutsch" they shrug again. "Parlez vous francais?" again a ...
