A very bad video I made in 1992 by hooking up two vcrs and going through a lot of video tapes. Comes complete with chewed up tape and bits cut off. Old school. The song is the improvised b-side from Ride's 'Leave The All Behind' single. Great song. My blog http://theblackenedair.blogspot.com

  • on second viewing, i have to say this is a fantastic bit of video editing. IMHO it's probably v close to what the boys from oxford would've done themselves. great clips from the b&w films - especially the psycho bits. i would've added a few bits from 'it's a wonderful life' though, like when he runs into the camera etc. still, great work for prob the best recorded improv track ever... now do one for 'time machine'...

  • It's so awesome that the album ends with an 11 minute completely different and yet equally beautiful eargasm

  • this is sad, really awful video :)

    Ride makes it up

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting this track!

I remember playing this over and over and over again on my Sony Walkman when I was a teenager. It's a song you can get absolutely lost in!

    Nice vid montage too!

  • dude, old skool technique is sweet. this is my favourite band and the best, most epic instrumental song. ever. good job.

  • Fuckin' lovin' it.

  • Great video! Love the cut and paste feel, and awesome track!!

  • One of the best psychedelic songs of the nineties.

  • a-f rather doh (or e-c)

  • i have a tape of this song that sounds just like this lol! brilliant. mind u, i also have it as the b side on the 12", which sounds better (than cd, as all vinyl does). still, as a piece of improv, there is nothing better than this track imho (well, aside from my own stuff lol). but goddamn them for stealing my baseline!!! (but also see the cure's 'the kiss' - preferably a modern live version e.g. trilogy, or even a forest - a-g)
