This video is about the U.S. Surpeme Court's decision in Diamond v. Chakrabarty; the first court case about the patent of a life form DNA. My AP Government class made in 1990 for my government class at Nogales High School In Nogales, AZ. We won a bicentennial of the Copyright and Patent Act contest with this video.
I think they are amazed that a school in Arizona will have the interest in teaching and inspiring students in a subject that only lawyers and industrial giants take active interest in. So your school (including the teachers) must be an iconoclastic organization. Unfortunately, I do not know

--- Dear Mr. Thomson: I saw the video with great interest. Although the arguments were prolonged and somewhat different in the Supreme Court, your students performed very well as the judge and the attorneys. You have every reason to be proud of the way you instill a sense of learning in your school. I wish I was your student when I was growing up. Thank you again for giving me access to this wonderful student activity.
