The Po' Folks restaurant chain went out of business years ago due to bankruptcy. Bill Anderson did own a portion of the restaurant chain, Too bad though, they had good food.

Yep I remember poor folks. My mom use to ask one of us kids to look in the car all over for money to buy a loaf of bread. I thank the lord for seeing us through. Thanks Bill for the song Love it

I'll bet you he was named after Bloody Bill Anderson! The Confederate guerilla horseman! One of my ancestors rode with those guys. He was briefly with Quantrill and the James Brothers. Before they hung him (Riley St. John).

Wow. Mr Ralph Emery was looking young. The restaurant apparently retreated to Florida. They need to expand back into the rest of the southern states. It'll be nice to have something other than Cracker Barrel.
