Presidential Mike Huckabee during the MSNBC Presidential debate declaring his support for the FairTax. A proposal that would do away with our convoluted and corrupt tax code and replace it with a simple, transparent, and fair consumption tax. www.FairTax.org or www.Myspace.com/FairTax for more details.

  • In short, the FairTax eliminates the middle man. Corporations only pass their income taxes to the consumer, by raising the prices. Eliminate the corporate income tax, and the price will come down to allow just 5 percent profit, due to competition. Replace this with the FairTax, and the price will come right back where it was. Prices won't change (maybe slightly), take home will rise, the fed budget won't change. Nothing will change except you'll never handle another tax form again.

  • ATTENTION!!!

MarkDouglasC & MybookDeal & TaxSanity = the same person!

How do I know this? Look at the profiles... same age. Coincidence? How about this: MarkDouglasC told me in another post that he wrote books. Also notice... he spams all FairTax video's. NOBODY can be that against this unless he has an interest to protect. He's IRS plain and simple. Nice try Mark!

  • My congressman is Howard Coble R-NC.

Senators Dole and Burr both republicans. They all responded to the emails that I sent them from their web sites. They all support it.

  • Apology accepted. Your opinions have been well noted! You say you've read the FairTax book and you disagree. Now is the time to go write your congressman and senators. Tell them how you feel. You can do it from their web sites. I did, and I've received responses from all of them. All of my representatives support the FairTax. It would be interesting to see where your's stand... don't you think?

  • Well, you just may get your wish. The bill has gathered a lot of support in the house. My congressman supports it. AND, it's gaining more and more support every day.

  • Well, now you're starting to sound a little better. Your other posts just make you look like an angry mental case. See how much better it is when you calm down and explain yourself? And the name calling doesn't lend you any credibility either. Calling people morons doesn't help either. I still disagree with you, but at least you're starting to sound a little more sane.

  • I read the first book, I will get the second today. Thanks. But unless Mr Linder can reinvent math by the time I get the book, the FT is a looney -- not just stupid -- idea. For many reasons. One -- you cant magically have government paying itself taxes - they would have to raise taxes to pay their taxes.

Apparently, you are too stupid to understand that.

  • I dont support the Fairtax - BECAUSE I know it. Becasue I read it. Its a high sales tax on new houses- did you know that? That same high sales tax is on government purchases, military spending - did you know that? Its on everything -- including medical cost- did you know that? Consider the consequences of these absurdities for a while, and get back to me.

  • I smell a rat here. Come on Mark, tell us what the alternative is. You sort-of sound like one of those Paultards, but you haven't really come right out and said it. What's the fix? Are you a tax attorney? An accountant? IRS? H&R Block? Tax avoider? What's your interest in not seeing the FairTax passed?

  • I take the negative comments from the "armchair economists" with a grain of salt. They base their entire argument on one or two obscure articles, then run off half-cocked posting their negative comments without first getting all the facts.

I support Mike Huckabee and the Fair Tax!
