I had the original bootleg cassette tapes before these guys released their first album, they lived in my neighborhood in queens, I remember almost pissing myself the first time i heard them. No matter how pissed off i am, if someone puts one of these calls on Im in tears.

Johnny Brennan said it best, its about the characters, not about making stupid prank calls, all this shit pre dates Borat and Ali G, who I see as taking what these guys did and bringing it into the real world.
