Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.DPR was catering to sye and eric (at least that's what I felt),It was a waste of a chance to beat the irrationality out of the theistic new position of untruth and overall "I CANNOT be wrong" standpoint. Quite a shame after c0nc0rdance hyped his argument so much.

Understand that I do agree with you and this reply is merely to show that everything you have said is accurate and further replies would be repetitive and a waste of text. What Rex is saying is true, whether you are a fanboy of any of these people or not. They had a chance to shut them down and they wasted it. Maybe if aron wasn't a nuke with a broken voice, or maybe if dpr wasn't constantly catering to eric and sye it would have been a better show...but "maybe" doesn't get you anywhere.

    The transcendental argument:

    1. Induction is invalid

    2. Induction can only be valid because... God

    3. Induction is valid

    4. Therefore bibleGod exists

Even if this argument proved God, how does it prove induction? It simply assumes induction, contradicting itself and unnecessarily adds in a God which explains the very premise they've already assumed. (I'll not be replying to comments because this T.A.G. shit get's really complex really fast and is unsuitable for comments with a 500 character lim

I believe the contraindication to their position comes in when you consider another facet of their whole reasoning chain - one they did not go into on your show (but did on Seth Andrew's - The Thinking Atheist) - wherein they assert that they can trust God's claims and base the rest of their epistemilogical model upon this assumption.

All one needs to do is point out something in the Bible that does not square with reality.

This whole debate is facile. No one has to make unfounded assumptions. You don't have to assume your experience is not an illusion, you can accept that it might be an illusion and learn and live within it anyways. You don't have to assume your reasoning is sound, you can verify your reasoning against the reasoning of other minds and against your perception of reality. So you really don't need assumptions, but as far as assumptions go, "Yaweh exists" is one of the most ridiculous and unfounded.

There were too many people involved for it to go anywhere interesting, DPR was catering a bit, but I think he did it in the hopes he could get them back again, hopefully with maybe just them, DPR, and c0n. As much as I love aron and tf00t, they get a little too excitable.

You're right about one thing though, you're not just saying you can't be wrong, you're also committing a fallacy of begging the question, of assuming your conclusion as your premise.

"You can't even account for reasoning if you're consistent in your atheism since there can't be laws of logic or absolutes in an atheist universe"

This statement is just a load of bollocks which bears no resemblance to the atheist position. So there's your proof.
