  • Well done music to video.

I wonder what drugs Carroll was on when he wrote this. Really, some of the imagery is surely drug-induced!

  • Fantastic combination of music and imagery.

I heard that Lewis Carroll was infatuated with a little girl named Alice (or a similar name) that he used to entertain. He couldn't have her due to his age and/or status back in the day.

Any comments -- did anyone else hear anything like that? I forgot what magazine I read that in.

  • @joetub316 I do lots of random reaserch and I've heard the same thing all over the place.

  • Lewis Carroll was a substantially creative writer in his youth as well as his older years. The whole book of "Through the Looking Glass" and picked up on the harmonious undertones, it was a commentary of the political system of his time, the oppressive catholic church, his best friend (who was commited to an asylum), and a neighbour girl named Alicia. He was a bit of a shut in and one of his only outs was to look out his window, to which he equated was like a mirror of his life inside his study

  • nice i like it good work, song and vid it just fits so well

  • My son loved this Movie ,Donnie Darko. I didn't care for it. But I did really like this song , Mad World. Very imaginative to do it along with Alice and Wonderland. I'm a 48 yr. old woman and for some reason , every time I hear this song I cry.

  • Lewis Carroll was addicted to opium, a very common drug in those days. It would still have allowed him to write.

  • Must Carroll had been on a drug to write creatively? Though weed and cocaine were used in that time as pain killers, there is no evidence saying he abused it. The same fantasy, imagery, and nonsense is even present in the work he did as a child. If he was indeed using any drugs, this wouldn't occur. Also, it can be hard to form thoughts and write in this state.^_^

  • very nice! n1

  • Awesome!!!
