  • hey I've just come back from holiday in Queenstown and I noticed most of the photos in your reviews seem to be in Queenstown New Zealand, are you based there?

  • I sure am - hope you had a good holiday here!

  • Hi Gordon, thanks for all the Reviews! It's very helpful.

I am a beginner, but is it useful to sale my 14-42 mm and buy the 12-60 mm?

    Thank you for an answer.

  • I'd always keep the kit lens a backup or to make it easier to sell the body as a kit in the future...

  • Thanks Gordon for getting back to me so soon! I will take this in consideration. Thanks again!!

  • No problem - there's some E5x0 owners on the cameralabs forums with this lens if you want to ask them what they think...

  • Gordon which is a better combo E-30 with 12-60 of a Canon APS-C with 24-105L ?

  • Zuico micro 4 3 lens

  • Funny I was thinking the same thing. Heck we don't even have windows in our studio,

  • i wonder where the office of camera labs is. they certainly have the best view in town

  • @cameralabs hello, I want to know the difference between the 14-40 mm to 12-60mm for quality, Because the 12-60 mm is 4x higher price I just want to know about the quality of the pictures are both the same or not?

  • this was a very usefull review, thanks

  • great review! I was waiting for this! great job!

  • Sorry, probably should have added that this lens will be perfect for portraits for a long time. No need to worry about the light levels, it handles low light pretty well. Wildlife should be fine also. Probably worth playing around with manual focus, this will mean you get almost zero shutter lag as long as you pre-focus on the intended position. Only restriction is the 60mm (120mm) max focal length. It will take a long time for me to sell this lens and body combo.

Can't beat it for the $.

  • Hi mate,

Yes, finally got the E620. Brilliant camera. So far I am very pleased with the setup and very happy to spend the money required. I've only had the camera a couple of months so not had too much time to play with it (also my real job has restricted any spare time I had). You will find the lens very heavy on the front of the camera. But it is well worth it. The 12-60mm lives on the E620 99% of the time. The super quick auto focusing makes it all worth while.

    Hope this helps.
