Alligator Sky - Teen Titans/Young Justice (Preview)

IT'S SO WONDERFUL TO BE BACK! SV! I HAVE MISSED YOU SO! :'D

Well, anyway, I suppose this is more of a practice than anything as I haven't touched SV in months and I'm a little rough around the edges. The overall quality is less than "stellar," shall we say, but it's alright.

Obviously, this is just a preview. I was just so excited to actually get something done that I just had to post it. Haha. Complete version up by the end of June! :D (Probably mid-June. I did this little preview in just three days, discounting the first 30 seconds which were mapped a few weeks ago.)

Pairings!: Beast Boy/Raven, Beast Boy/Terra, Robin/Starfire, Superboy/Miss Martian, Kid Flash/Artemis

Notes:
-Those damned hands! I spent over two hours trying to get rid of the background and just have the hands. Normally, I would just mask them and be done with it, but for whatever reason, SV seems to have a lag with its keyframes and what's on the timeline always follows just a little behind what the clip is doing. Because of this, I ended up having to both mask AND chroma key it. Sony Vegas users know that masking and chroma keying are a pain in the ass individually. Together? UGH!
Dumb thing. Anyway, I'll probably invest an additional two hours in the damn clip when I'm going through the finalizing process of the finished version. C'est la vie.
-What's your opinion on effects? I didn't use many "plugin effects" on this video, but I still used more than I usually do. I'm a little iffy, to be honest. I'm not entirely certain I like them. The only reason the additional effects (by "additional" and "plugin" effects, I mean effects that are not part of the SV package and were downloaded elsewhere) are there in the first place is because it's Owl City and I always feel like I have to be effect-crazy for his songs. So what's your opinion: Keep what's there, but don't add more; Get rid of all plugins and don't add more; Keep what's there and add more; or go crazy? I'm trying to conserve normal clips because I can tell you right now that the finale is going to be nuts, but I don't want to use filler plugins if they're damaging the quality. Ugh, what to do, what to do...
-Writing the tags made me realize that I forgot YJ Robin. Whoops. Should probably put him in. I had him planned for one part, but I ended up using SB instead. Huh. Note to self: Robin.
-RE: Bobby at the end: Obviously that bit with Bobby was just to make the video not end on such an abrupt note like most previews do (I'm guilty of this). The only clip that's actually part of the video is the initial one where he jumps out of the sky. As soon as he lands on the ground, the completed part of the video ends. Everything after that is just what I left in for the fade out.

I wouldn't use that many extra effects, you don't want it to be too busy and take away from the video itself, you know? But hey, that's just my opinion. I love the song (Owl City always rocks!) and I can't wait to see more videos from you ^^
