Colin tossing the change into the guitar case mimics the sound they used right before the song cuts out on the album. maybe thats what the "clinking" sound is on the album... tossing money into a guitar case. killer fan fact if so. CIRCA

OK so as some of you may know, "Meet me in Montauk" is what Clementine says to Joel (played by Jim Carrey) when they are losing their memories of eachother in the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Its a phenomenal movie and I advise anyone to watch it and then listen to this song to see how they go hand-in-hand and how beautifully Anthony Green illustrates the movie and how applies it to his personal life, and he lets so much raw emotion into it
