whatever. The Cooper will suffer major engine damage as soon as it's absurd vacuum pump fails, which will be right after the warranty expires. .( I have a friend who mistakenly bought one of those nasty front wheel drive things and suffered the expensive repair costs). . I also have another friend who bought a new Miata in '94 and it's still going with over 300k miles on it. . So there is your winner, really. It doesn't matter who is faster, it matters who is smarter, and more fun to drive!

MX-5 is a Classic, and a Real Sports Car that you have FUN IN...not a pitchy Mary Poppins Pram or dare I say a 'tarts car'...a bit slippy there!
Really they are not in the same class or league.
