They are some of the best guard dogs

10 months old. He's just a puppy. Mastiffs don't want to chew people up, so the "not a good guard dog" comment has some basis. Most intruders would be frightened off at the sight or sound of a protective mastiff, even if they don't get bitten.
My Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) is everyone's friend. He's only 95 lbs at 10 months, but he's still a growing puppy.
The question is, what do you mean by a good guard dog?

why is that dog so damn tired

did he say they arnt good guard dogs ? they are freakin great guard dogs, they will love people to death if your there but if you arnt i would hate to see what happened to them if they broke in. ive got a muscle mastiff and she is as soft as a brush but you do anything bad and you will know about it.
WTF... did he just say "They are not very good guard dogs"...?
