Beautiful and graceful pieces...you are a good teacher and wonderful to watch you work..
would you discuss more about paper slip...
Thank you for sharing such wonderful work..cd

I really like what you say about throwing fast, I saw a video by Simon Leach who described it like writing calligraphy, you can't do it slowly or too deliberately. I think your pieces really capture the fluid movement and spontaneity. they're wonderful and the demonstrations are very informative.
Thanks!

Why do you close the clay, what does it do for you?
-
No, not really. I just use any porcelain that's available. All the porcelain clays that I've used have been really good.

glad that you're enjoying it. best to you.

I'm thinking of trying porcelain this time around. That looks like a throwable body, do you have a formula?

I don't know what his clay body is. I can try to find out.

Gorgeous shapes and great explanation about centering (something I have so much trouble with!).
Did you also film the process from there to finished product? I see you have posted a couple more videos, so I am off to watch those too!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is really fascinating for me!

This is part of the Artists in Residence (AiR)series I began in 2001. Request AiR titles (soon on DVD) through your public library!
