On another beautiful and warm Sunday afternoon, i headed to the Joint Line to try and catch some trains before School tomorrow. Thankfully, i was treated well. 9 trains in 5 hours!!! Dispatch must of been really cool today for there to be so many trains! and now, the trains...

Train 1: i started off at Woodmen Road, where Derailedtrain666 sometimes sets up here to catch stuff. no Adam today tho. about 30 minutes after i arrived, the rails were reflexing and BNSF ES44DC 7329 leads a manifest NB. good way to start the day! im guessing it was the H-KCKDEN

Train 2: i headed a bit south and try out another spot that Adam tried before. but before i could really set up, BNSF SD70MAC 9369 leads a regular loaded coal train SB

Train 3: i headed further south, to a spot that a local railfan, YT name waloevy, tried out. i also tried it out, but appearently, i failed it musurably. BNSF SD70MAC 8857 leads an Empty coal train NB

Train 4: I headed to the Air Force Academy and tried some shots there. This would appearently be where most of the trains i caught would be at. The coal train headed by a BNSF ES44AC heads SB with loaded coal to a meet at the academy switches.

Train 5: a bit later on i heard a K5LLA horn in the distance, and i knew it was an SD70ACe leading! havent seen any of those things lead ANY trains in months! but anyway, BNSF SD70ACe 9284 leads a Loaded coal NB with a UP AC44CW helping. hmm...

Train 6: Possibly another fail shot. BNSF ES44AC 5758 leads an empty coal train NB out of Academy.

Train 7: Now here is where it get's EPIC! first up, BNSF ES44c4 6292 leads an unusual sight here on the Joint Line. BNSF CWRX cars, or Continuis Welded Rail Cars. this was bound for Pueblo's Steel Mill. Cool Engineer too!

Train 8: i grew tired of Academy so when i got word of a CN unit NB, i headed south to intercept. Big mistake. i intercepted it while driving on I-25 so i simply turned arround and headed to Monument specifically, Baptist Road. I meet up with another railfan and eventually we caught the NB. BNSF C44-9W 1109 and CN SD75M 5653 head north towards a meet with a SB Manifest. Possibly the H-KCKDEN

Train 9: The last train of the day before i ate Chipotle. BNSF "fakebonnet" C44-9w 754, and KCS AC4400CW 4608 and C44-9w "H1" 1007 head south while still on Baptist Road. Possibly the H-PVOPUE

DAMN, a LOOONNNGGG day, but a rewarding one nontheless. Enjoy the Video!!
