  • I've been thinking of joining an eco-village for some time, and I was just wondering if most eco-villages will allow people like me, who have advanced degrees (political science), to live on it and not farm, but still contribute to the commune by purchasing supplies and other things for communal property. Please answer.

  • things are all fine and dandy until the government gets involved.

  • @sleepy555555 you are grossly exaggerating. I work at a farmers markets, have a garden, and know several people w/ small farms and gardens. If draconian laws are on the way, the only way to resist is to go ahead and get your garden/ farm going along w/ others. If only a handful of people are doing it, then it will be easier to stop them. If a large # of people are doing it, it will be harder to crack down. The time to get going is now.
