@TommieAitken people eat rabbits, and they make wonderful companions. what about cats? Don't pigs have potential to be friends too? Cows? Dogs never "came" to us, they were tamed wolves domesticated over years and years. Dogs are same as any other animal. Besides, Korea is not the only country that eats dog and not all koreans do. I bet some of you don't even like dogs. Any ridiculous reason can be used to justify hate. It can blind you sometimes.

Why is eating cow, pig, chicken, and any other animal okay but not eating dog? A pig is actually more intelligent than a dog. I think racists would love any excuse to hate a country.
