Hi there... no it does not have much to do trading volume. It tells you the internals of the market by letting you know how many stocks are being bought or sold on a up/down tick.

Hey thanks for posting this. Very informative. The NYSE Tick sounds like it is incorporating volume into trading, which I do as well. Am I correct, or am I misunderstanding?
