Otis 2000/Kone Scenic Lift in Debenhams, Oxford

This lift is an Otis 2000, Kone have replaced the COP's and floor indicators with their own. The lift was originally installed in 2000, and the fixture replaced in 2008. The original buttons had become quite worn and the floor indicators were almost always broken. The lift has 4 landings (G, 1, 2, 3). G is for street level, 1-3 are all store levels.
The lift wasn't behaving it's self in this video. It goes back to G when idle (which was happening at the start of the video), but it took me a few presses of the call button before the doors would open.

This Debenhams branch was demolished and rebuilt in 1998/9. The basement and ground floor are let out to other stores (JJB, Sainsburys and Borders all have stores on these levels) and are all accessed from the street. There is an entrance atrium at one end of the building (where this lift is situated), and another entrance (with another lift) at the opposite end. The original store had an Express Lift, which was later replaced with an Otis 2000 a few years before demolition.

Yep, not something i've seen before. This lift is very well used though, so the old buttons had become quite worn in their 8 years of use (they were replaced last year).

At least they are better than they were and now are fulkly embosed etc which is better foir the disabled community long term.
