  • I think that that is EXACTLY what is going to happen in NA. Sigh...

    Jose

  • Oh christ don't tell me that Bendis is gonna do some lame soap opera love triangle thing with PP, JJ and Luke Cage....I may just have to hunt bendis down and kill him if that happens...

  • Nah, you see, what you're saying actually makes sense. And lately, everything Bendis has been doing doesn't. ;-)

    Thanks for commenting!

    Elliott

  • As usual, your opinion is best and I know what I said was a stretch but really its only a matter of time before Osborn focuses on Spidey due their unique history. Spidey has history getting help to fight the Sinister Six in the past so the Avengers will be his hometeam unitl this thing is over and Osborne is either dead or in a looney bin. Bendis HAS to go this way because Spidey's archenemy is now in charge of the world's security. The Avengers along with his family is the only support he has.

  • Thanks pobra. Very well said.

  • lol, that's funny because almost everyone at my LCS including the owner loves NA, Red Hulk, Ultimatum (not kidding) and other such non-sense. They even give me puzzled looks when I express my distaste for these awful titles. Watching Jose and Elliott tear these books to shreds and bring them to justice is one of my only escapes from this intellectual epidemic. It gives me a sense of inner-peace and well being that is unmatched. Remember, just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good.

  • Nah, don't buy it. Maybe if you had some scenes where Spidey is talking to Luke Cage or Hawkeye and actually sharing something with them, but that never happens in the book. You never see an EMOTIONAL CONNECTION between Peter and the others. In fact, then only time Peter even says how he feels about the Avengers is in the middle of the fight scene in issue #51. IMO, that's not enough for me to believe that the character feels 'at home' with the Avengers.

    That just my opinion.

    Elliott

  • If you look at 90s Spiderman, him battling all those baddies took his toll on him. Also the fact that he has to protect his family--Aunt May etc and mostly fight villains as good or just less than he--VENOM and Hobgoblin for ex. reveals a missing component he NOW feels a superhero team can fill or ease. This makes Bendis' decision to make Spidey Love the Avengers make a little more sense. Spidey explains his situation in the comic if you read a little more closely. MJ can console but so much.

  • I'm sorry you have to work with people who have such horrible taste in comics. My heart goes out to ya Benwonder.

I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who loves Bendis and his shite scribblings. Thank god I don't work/shop at your store.

  • MORE AND BETTER ACTION SPIDER-MAN COMICS.

all the action is still and not free flowing.
