They are clueless. These are basic questions about the biggest phone in history and they have no clue. AT&T sucks ass! If their weak ass network can't handle the iPhone than they should let another company have the iPhone.

I know this is an old cast though its funny cause Al all of your questions were valid and explaining senseless answers on the behalf of att is not always an easy thing for reps...lol It's like now-if you were grandfathered into the $30 dollar unlimited plan and wanted to tether, you would need to drop to the $25 2 gig plan and then add an additional $20=$45 total and you're loosing the unlimited plan if you had it. MAKES NO SINCE, Though it does make $ LOL

hey are there any exceptions u guys do for people who have the iphone 3g that no longer want the data plan? I know we signed a contract and its required but do u guys cut some slack for some people depending on their situation? it's a rip off we have to pay an xtra 30 a month for that shit

I like what I have, I just don't like those few misfit customers who have nothing else better to do than to harass their cell phone provider.
As an employee of at&t, for a call center (not in Canada) I can say there was a lot of confusion about iPhone 3G S capabilities and features. I understood them all clearly, but some people around me had trouble adjusting to the new information. They informed us of the new iPhone only about 1-2 weeks (depending on call center location) or the release date, capabilities, and available resources to answer questions. I think this is a call that got someone that was trying to adjust.
